MIX NO. 41 // A VERY NICOLE CHRISTMAS
I can’t believe the final Monthly Mix of the year is here, and, of course, it’s holiday themed. Will it ever not be holiday themed? This year’s playlist is a little different and something I wouldn’t normally do, but since 2020 was just not great to say the very least I thought why not?
This year’s holiday mix is a mega mix filled with 50, yes 50, of my favorite holiday tunes. Over 2 hours of songs spanning different eras and genres for a mix that is just very, well, me. My go-to tunes for working, errands, cooking etc tend to be the traditional kind. You know the Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, etc. I don’t even want to know my listening numbers of Vince Guaraldi Trio’s A Charlie Brown Christmas. I’m sure, just like everyone else, those classic, iconic songs hold a special place in my heart and remind me of Christmases past. But never fear, there are more updated songs including indie covers and even some lesser appreciated songs in there too.
While making this I never realized how much I like holiday music and I think it comes from the magic of the season. It comes for a moment, reminds me of happy memories, and then is gone until next year. I’ve always hated having to choose a playlist or a channel and never having one that covers a little bit of everything. But, this playlist pretty much does that. I know there are probably things missing, but 50 is a nice enjoyable number.
