4 Accessories You Need Right Now

It’s been said too many accessories clutter an outfit, and that is why it is important to only pick the best ones. It’s pretty well established I’m a classic, minimal style kinda girl, but that doesn’t mean I’m not prone to dabbling into trends every once in a while. Well, I try anyway. Sometimes it’s really hard to convince myself to do something if I really can’t see getting much use out of it beyond a season or two.

That said, there are a few trends this season I think are worth getting behind. Mainly because a few of them are new takes on old favorites and everything can use a little spicing up from time to time. Here are the trends I have made sure to add to my closet lately.

Hands-Free Handbags

Crossbody and shoulder bags are my favorite because my hands are free to juggle everything else I insist on carrying on a daily basis like my water bottle or my phone. They are just big enough to carry everything I need and don’t fit everything I try to believe I need. There are two ways to go this season: sleek and simple or quilted.

Serious Boots

I’m not proud of how many new pairs of boots I’ve added to my closet this year, but boots are a wardrobe staple. This year’s big boot styles are combat boots and the lug sole boots. What I love is they can be dressed up or down and make your look that much more interesting. That said, if they aren’t you’re thing, update your go-to style.

Mask Up

Look, no matter where you stand on this whole pandemic deal, masks aren’t going away any time soon. You might as well learn to live with it and make it fashionable. You can’t control anyone else, but you sure as hell can control yourself. All I know is, if it keeps those I care about safe, let’s do it and look good doing it.

Chain Mail

Earlier this year when I had the chance to hit up one of the most popular jewelry and gem shows, I noticed chains were everywhere. Luckily whether you choose giant statement chains or smaller dainty paperclip chains, they look so good. Plus there are a variety of ways to wear them from necklaces to rings so whatever your personal go-to, you’re covered.
