Color Combos to Try Before Summer Is Over
Anyone who knows me understands black and white IS my color combo. Just take a glance at my closet and you'll wonder if I strictly shop with a magnet that attracts the most monochrome of colors. Okay, maybe I do like a little bit of grey here and there. Okay, to be fair, one of my favorite sweaters is burgundy. But you get the idea, right? Every season there is a selection of colors that you'll see everywhere. These are the peak color trends. Typically with warmer weather in spring and summer, there are bright colors. This includes pastels and colors you really wouldn't want to bust out in the winter like...yellow. Summer is over in a few short weeks (unless Mother Nature decides to say otherwise), so I found some color combinations that are worth trying before summer is dismissed for the year.
Some of them are sleek and others are daring. But they all really have a classic appeal to them. I tried to pick realistic color combinations. Meaning, combinations that anyone can embrace no matter what their style is. I'm no color wheel expert, but I know that a light color can be balanced well with a dark. Meanwhile, pairing two lighter colors creates a really subtle, almost dainty look. I even chose to take a few of my lowkey favorite colors and pair them up with new colors to change things up.
Of course, at the end of the day, any of these could be mixed with black or white. If you're not prepared to step outside the box just yet.
