What I'm Listening To, Volume 10

Time is just flying by. I can't even believe it. I feel like I'm constantly saying that too. When I originally set out to start the What I'm Listening To series of playlists, it was really just to create a playlist that was true to my listening habits. A playlist that really spanned genres. A playlist where I wasn't adding unnecessary pressure on myself with regards to sound or a theme. Don't get me wrong, I love the Monthly Mixes and themes, but a lot of work has to go into those. With What I'm Listening To I can just create a massive collection of songs and narrow them down with which ones I'm not absolutely sick of by the end of the month. That's not to say there isn't an overall sound though. I also never set out with an intention to make this playlist a monthly thing. That's why, since last spring when I started, there have only been 10 volumes. There is a reason they have become more common. Over the last few months, I have started consuming more and more music in order to free myself from my anxiety. I've always devoured music but I stopped exploring as much and began regularly listening to the same things over and over. I don't want to say I fell in love with music again, but I guess that's the easiest way to put it I suppose.

So enjoy another installment of What I'm Listening To if you're even still reading this. It's a little longer than usual because I found the songs to be a really great combination and it was just hard to choose which had to go. As usual, the playlist features a bunch of new indie tunes I think you should know about. Plus some older ones you may have heard. It also features a Beach Boys tune because nothing says summer quite like the Beach Boys.
