Holiday 2017 Gift Guide: Pets
I am a dog mom through and through, and people are expected to spend 69 billion dollars on their pets in 2017. No joke. My dog Chloe is incredibly spoiled. She loves to wear outfits especially sweaters. She is an expert at pretending she didn't make a mess when everyone knows she did (how else did the box of Diet Coke cans get knocked over?) And she really hates cell phones because they take the attention off her. Pets have become such a large part of our family that we tend to spoil them quite a bit like they are children.
At the holidays it is no different. While they don't really understand the concept of wrapping paper they certainly love finding things within it. You know once we finally give up on them trying to open things themselves and tear it open for them. Hey, I can't be the only person that does that, right? Either way, you'll find this gift guide packed with Chloe approved (okay she would approve them if she could read or understand) gifts for dogs and even some for cats!
I'm not a cat person, but I couldn't resist mentioning this cat house from IKEA. It's well designed and way better than any run of the mill scratcher cat castle. Some of my favorite dog gifts are the dog emergency kit, the Wit and Delight PJs, and the festive hedgehog squeak toy. Oh, and the FitBark. The FitBark is a fitness tracker for your dog. Now hear me out before you finish the eye roll. There are plenty of dog breeds that are super active and the data from this would be so interesting to look at. While my dog isn't the most active dog in the world, it would be pretty entertaining to see how active she is on days when I'm not home.
