Trend Report: White Sneakers

As someone incredibly type A with OCD just the thought of white sneakers is enough to give me a panic attack. Why? Because I will obsessively try to keep them in pristine condition. "But you own Stan Smiths..." yeah that I've worn...a handful of times, and, yes, they are incredibly clean.

That is why I have a love/hate relationship with one of the biggest shoe trends right now: white sneakers. It's not just white sneakers, but pretty much solid white sneakers for the most part. The ultimate canvas for grass, dirt, and every other stain imaginable. I love white sneakers because they are so pristine, classic, and can be paired with just about anything. They add a little bright pop to the most basic of outfits. They can make the best summer outfits look cool and casual. It's true I love a good white sneaker...but mostly in theory. Sneakers are destined to be dirty. But since it's summer and there's that rule about only wearing white until Labor Day, it's time to fully embrace the trend. There's always those Magic Erasers to clean them up right?

I've included a bunch of different kinds to match any style. There are pops of color for the scared of solid white crowd, textured, It-Girl approved, and even the classic Keds (for dipping ones toe into the water). Plus the Keds are the most classic summer shoe.
