Style Inspo: Concerts
I love live music. I go to quite a bit of shows but not as many as I used to. This week I attended the Weezer/Panic! At the Disco/Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness Summer Tour. Well, I got to see Weezer anyway thanks to being trapped in a crazy flash flood that forced me to spend well over an hour trapped in a Walgreens parking lot (Just in case you think I'm being overdramatic). But what I realized when I got there is the concert rules have changed entirely.
Choosing an outfit for an outdoor concert is a struggle. It has to be able to withstand any elements that are thrown at it. Case and point: a random flash flood. My philosophy on concert attire is simple: wear what is comfortable to you. It should allow you to feel confident but have fun at the same time. Nothing is worse than feeling everyone can see tiny imperfections that really only exist in our minds. What doesn't look great is constantly pulling at your clothes because you are just uncomfortable or they aren't right for you.
My point here is concerts are a great place for style of all kinds brought together by one unifying factor: the music. There's such an eclectic bunch of people in one place that it's so easy to find outfit inspiration. The best part is getting to express yourself through your style in a place others just seem to get you to begin with.
So what did I end up wearing? I opted for this Zara open back top, these H&M pants, a mini bag (similar), and a pair of old flats which are now completely ruined by mud and grass.
