In the Kitchen: Kris Jenner's Guacamole

The goal of this blog has always been to try new things on my quest to grow and find myself. It's one of the reasons I'm so glad we live in a culture where people create tons of things and put them out there for us to consume. Food blogs are amazing. Celebrity cookbooks are amazing. Since I've vowed to try tons of stuff, I figured I would share my (honest) experience here. That's what this is for right?

First up, "guacamole" by Kris Jenner. This was brought to my attention by my BEZ, Rachael whom asked me to make it for her. It originally aired during a segment on the Fab Life (whatever that is) and the original recipe can be found on their website.

Essentially the "guacamole" is 7 layer dip without the beans, and just as delicious. It's pretty perfect for summer especially with a glass of chilled rosé (Summer Water is my favorite). Obviously I decided to amend the recipe because I'm lazy (sometimes), Whole Foods has the greatest pre-made guacamole in the world, and my past experiences of making guacamole have been, well, muy mal. Also, I will never put Pace salsa in anything. EVER. Sorry, Kris.

Verdict: It's a really great alternative to 7 layer dip. Who wants to be bloated by beans in the summer? Note: I used lactose free sour cream because of personal reasons, but regular sour cream stirred thoroughly will work just as well.
